Tyneside Winter Wonderland 2018 will open this Friday 30th November at 3pm and run througouth the weekend until 4pm on Sunday 2nd December.
Please remember elements of Winter Wonderland are held outdoors so make sure you wrap up warm as there are no guarantees for the weather!
To keep you up-to-date with activities here is an outline of the event programme to help you plan your visit:
Tickets are now on sale for the Linskill Christmas Raffle from reception with some great prizes to be won and best of all by buying a ticket you are supporting the Linskill Centre.
The tickets are £1 and all proceeds raised will be reinvested into the centre and its community activities – see below for a listing of all the prizes. The raffle will be drawn by Simeon Ripley, Chief Executive on Friday 14th December at noon and winning ticket numbers will be posted online and promoted in reception.
This year Linskill is supporting Make Christmas Special 2018 and is now accepting donations of gifts for both adults and children. The donated gifts will be distributed on Christmas Day at organised events in North Tyneside, where people will share Christmas Lunch with others.
Tyneside Winter Wonderland would not be complete without the Yuletide Lodge and we welcome back this festive tipi for its third year with a range of planned activities, including a music quiz and live music late into the evenings. From Friday to Sunday the Yuletide Tipi will be serving its usual festive offerings of mulled wine, hot chocolate and marshmallows to roast on the open fire. There will also be a variety of local performers singing some Christmas classics to get you into the festive spirit. Read More
The Linskill engAGE project was launched in 2016 to provide opportunities for the older community (55+) to share and learn new skills, keep active and healthy, and make new friends. The Woolies is one of the latest groups to join the engAGE programme and it all started because someone wanted to learn how to crochet. Now the group gather on a Wednesday from 10am-12noon and produce knitted and crocheted goods, often for local causes and initiatives – call 0191 257 8000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
