Linskill is very excited to be partnering up with the Google Digital Garage Bus tour – providing opportunities for anyone to come and learn how to harness the power of the internet to grow their business, learn more about the internet, or develop new vocational skills. The Google Digital Garage Bus will next stop at Linskill on Thursday 13th June from 9am to 4pm.
Directors required for Charity Board – we are looking for motivated and committed volunteers to join our existing Board to strengthen the support to the senior management team, in realising our charitable objectives, strategic priorities and gaining financial means to deliver the work that we are passionate about.

Every year when our volunteers start checking and collating books for the Book Fair, they inevitably find a range of photographs that have been inserted into the pages of books, possibly used as bookmarks or put there for safe-keeping and then forgotten about. Our volunteer team are keen to return these photographs to their rightful owners as they appreciate many photographs reflect key moments in time and may hold fond memories for their owners or family members.
Using the power of social media we are hoping the photos in this gallery will be recognised – so if any of the above images belong to you please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
A big thank you to everyone who took the opportunity to vote for Linskill through the Tesco’s Bags of Help scheme and the Trust is delighted to confirm the Sensory Room has been awarded a community grant of £4,000. Hundreds of gifts were donated at Linskill for Make Christmas Special 2018 and on Wednesday our volunteers spent the morning wrapping and labelling over 250 presents, ready for distribution on Christmas Day at five centres throughout North Tyneside. It has been a great community effort and the Trust would like to thank all those who donated, our volunteers and North Tyneside Art Studio who produced and donated hand made glassware.
Many thanks to all those who kindly supported our Christmas Raffle, either by donating prizes or buying tickets, with all proceeds going to the Linskill Centre and its community activities. The prize draw was held today in reception at 12 noon and the winning ticket numbers are shown above. Raffle prizes can be collected from reception (open this weekend from 9am-5pm) – please bring your raffle ticket with you.
The ‘Can do Project’ with Leonard Cheshire has been working with the Linskill Gardeners to transform the garden next to the Sensory Room at the Linskill Centre. Groups from Woodlawn School and Tynemet College have worked alongside Linskill volunteer gardeners to clear the area, weed, plant & paint walls and sheds. The students have also created a series of mosaics, featuring flora and fauna, to hang on the branches of our freshly painted wall tree. Linskill would like to extend a huge thank you to all the groups involved in the Can do Project as the garden looks amazing and going forward both visitors and staff will enjoy this space.
