During lockdown the engAGE Woollies made a real effort to keep in contact through weekly ZOOM sessions and came up with an idea for a joint project called ‘Linskill in Wool’. The volunteers identified a particular community activity held at the Linskill Centre and recreated in a crochet or knitted 6″ square. Then the Shedders volunteers showcased their engineering skills and mounted the finished artwork on the wall opposite the sensory garden, where there is lots of space for socially distanced viewing.
Why not pop along and take a look at this fantastic artwork in the corridor next to the Burnett Hall. This project shows how people can come together during adverse times, and collectively create such a fun and forever lasting piece of woolly art. Big thanks to everyone involved in the project.
