Are you passionate about supporting young children to learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing environment? Linskill Nursery is looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our warm and welcoming team. Whether you’re just starting out or bringing years of experience, we’d love to hear from you!

Working Hours & Availability

This is an all year round role (not term-time only). Applicants must be available to work shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm, to accommodate the nursery’s opening times. Working patterns are set on a rota basis and discussed in advance.

Job Role and Responsibilities

As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for children aged 0–5 years. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate, creative, and engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and educational development
  • Observing and assessing children’s progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and the wider nursery team
  • Promoting a safe, caring, and inclusive environment
  • Contributing to team meetings, training, and continuous professional development
  • Supporting the nursery’s values of inclusivity, kindness, and community

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years Education (or working towards)
  • Passionate about working with young children and supporting their development
  • Friendly, nurturing, and approachable
  • A strong team player with good communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledgeable about EYFS principles, safeguarding, and health & safety
