Volunteering

Linskill Trust is incredibly grateful for the time, dedication, passion and support our volunteers give to our organisation.

Whether it’s about sharing knowledge, learning new skills, meeting others, getting active, enjoying being outside, or wanting to improve your local environment – we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteering at Linskill

People from our local community can volunteer with us across the many different departments as opportunities arise – there are a range of potential opportunities.

We recognise that people volunteer for a variety of reasons which can range from gaining more confidence, giving back to the community, having spare time, or to develop their employability. Volunteers can expect meaningful roles within our organisation and will be supported to be able to carry out their role effectively.

For more information on how you can get involved, please contact louise@linskill.org

  • The Shed means everything. It helps keep me mentally active and socially involved. I love being with the others. We’re all of the same mind. There’s laughs and jokes – and so many personalities… But there’s real camaraderie.

  • I love coming to volunteer. I feel part of society and enjoy the company. It gives me a purpose in life and I would recommend it to anyone to come.

Benefits of Volunteering

Volunteering with Linskill Trust is very rewarding. Our volunteers are very valuable to us and your work is greatly appreciated. You might be green fingered and want to share your knowledge and skills in our garden, or you might not know a courgette from a cucumber!

You don’t need to be an expert in anything to volunteer – you might want to learn something new, or you might simply enjoy being with others. It’s a great chance to meet with other members of your local community, get active, and a great way to support your local charity by giving your time and energy. Volunteering is for all ages (although under 18s must be accompanied by an adult), and you can give as much or as little time as you choose.
