Memorial Garden

Northumbria World War One Memorial Garden at the Linskill Centre is open to all.

Find Out More
The Northumbria World War One Commemoration Project created the memorial garden in 2014, which is located within the Linskill Centre.
Around 1,500 names of the fallen have been arranged in order of streets where they lived in the old borough of Tynemouth, which included North Shields.

A place of reflection and remembrance, the Memorial Garden is open to all during the Linskill Centre’s opening hours.

The garden is maintained by volunteers.  Visit our Volunteer page for more information on ways you can support the project or volunteer with us.
