Location

The Linskill Centre, nestled between North Shields and Tynemouth, is only a twenty minute drive from Newcastle and is a unique venue for all your conference, meeting and corporate needs. Managed by the Linskill and North Tyneside Community Development Trust this community facility provides venue hire at reasonable prices with all proceeds being reinvested into the Linskill Centre and its community activities.

Venue 

Originally a school building, the Linskill Centre has undergone a period of transformation and refurbishment to become a thriving community resource, complete with free onsite parking for up to 100 cars. Retaining many of its original features and character the centre is available for hire on a one-off or short term basis and is ideal for conferences, meetings, training days, corporate dinners, AGMs, birthday parties, weddings, christenings and music events.

Conference and Meeting Rooms

The Linskill Centre offers two large halls and a range of spacious meeting rooms to accommodate all your venue hire needs. Informal space includes a studio, hub, cafe, sensory room and various outdoors spaces.  Free WiFi is available in all conference halls and meeting rooms.

Alternative room hire is also available at our satellite sites at Royal Quays Community Centre and Battle Hill Multi-Use Centre.

 

Trevelyan Hall

A large hall with its own foyer area and separate entrance (if required). With a purpose-built stage, lighting and wooden floor Trevelyan Hall can hold up to 300 people, dependent upon chosen room layout.

Trevelyan Hall is one of the largest halls in North Tyneside and provides a welcoming and a versatile space suitable for:

  • conferences and exhibitions
  • dinners and award ceremonies
  • weddings and celebration events
  • medium to large scale events

Burnett Hall

A good-sized hall located near the main reception area with a traditional and vintage feel.

Burnett  Hall is a versatile space and can hold up to 100 people, dependent upon the chosen room layout. The hall is suitable for:

  • workshops
  • events
  • community activities
  • celebration events

Collingwood & Priory Room

These former classrooms are large spacious rooms, conveniently located near to reception with outlooks onto the garden area.

Both the Collingwood and Priory Rooms can accommodate up to 40 people, dependent upon chosen room layout and are suitable for:

  • meetings
  • training
  • workshops
  • small events

Bede & Blanchland Room

The Bede and Blanchland Rooms are both large rooms with built-in SMART boards, which can accommodate up to 70 people dependent upon room layout. These rooms are ideal for a range of activities including:

  • workshops
  • meetings
  • training
  • events
  • activity classes

Alnwick Room

A bright and medium-sized room, located near to the reception area, which can hold up to 20 people in various formats.

The Alnwick Room is another versatile space and ideal for:

  • meetings
  • training
  • workshops

The Hub

The Hub is an interesting combination of an IT suite and informal meeting area, accommodating up to 10 people. Equipped with PCs and a projection facility the room is ideal for:

  • training
  • interviews
  • team-building

The Studio

This modern and contemporary space is light and airy with a wooden floor, mirrored wall complete with bar, making it deal for dance, movement, mind and body activities.

Dependent upon the activity the Studio can accommodate between 10-20 people and is ideal for:

  • dance classes
  • body toning/sculpting/stretching classes
  • meditation and mindfulness classes
  • children’s activities
  • fitness classes

Cafe 32

With a unique ambience and retro feel Cafe 32 is an ideal venue for less formal and more social activities.

Cafe 32 has booth and informal seating seating which can be arranged in many formats. Coupled with onsite catering and an alcohol license Cafe 32 offers plenty of scope for a range of events and activities including:

  • social gatherings
  • christenings
  • celebrations
  • club meetings

Customer Service

Our Customer Services Team are on hand to support and assist you every step of the way from booking your event to setting up on the day, welcoming guests and any back office services you may require (maps, photocopying, laminating and stationery).

Our onsite Catering Team provide a complete service including delegate packages, bespoke menus and light refreshments (please note external catering is not permitted within the Linskill Centre).
