On Wednesday 10 June, we join people across the UK in marking Age Without Limits Day 2026 – an annual opportunity to challenge ageism and celebrate the value, contributions and potential of people of all ages.
As part of the day, we’re sharing a recent Telegraph article by Will Stoddard (18 May 2026), which explores how cycling can help people stay active and independent as they age, while potentially reducing the risk of dementia.
We’re particularly proud that our Linskill Riders volunteer, David Henderson, was interviewed for the article and shared his own experiences of cycling and the positive impact it has had on his health and wellbeing.
The timing couldn’t be better, as it also falls during Cycling UK’s National Bike Week – a perfect reminder that it’s never too late to enjoy the benefits of getting on a bike.
Whether you’re a regular cyclist, thinking about dusting off your bike, or simply looking for ways to stay active, this article offers some inspiring insights into the lifelong benefits of cycling.
