Community Raises £7,482 in Linskill’s First Big Give Christmas Challenge

Linskill has wrapped up its very first Big Give Christmas Challenge — and thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we are delighted to share that £7,482 was raised in just one week.

From 2–9 December, every donation up to £2,500 was doubled, thanks to match funding. This meant every £10 became £20, and every gift — large or small — had twice the impact.

We set out with a target of £5,000 to support our charitable work across North Tyneside, and we’re thrilled to have surpassed it. The support we received reflects just how much Linskill means to the local community. Every day, over 500 people come through our doors — from nursery children and families, to community groups, older people, volunteers, creatives, and local businesses. Your donations help us continue offering a warm, inclusive space for everyone.

Many supporters also shared their own stories and memories of Linskill throughout the week, reminding us why this place matters so deeply to so many. The theme of the campaign — celebrating Linskill’s past, present and future — really struck a chord.
