Linskill Volunteer Awarded Spirit of North Tyneside

We are delighted to share that two of our Community Programme – Linskill Trust volunteers, Bill Goldsmith and Dave Henderson have been awarded a Spirit of North Tyneside Award for their contribution to keeping the borough Safe and Secure.
As well as helping with our cycling programme through Dr Bikes and led rides, they have also been supporting Welcome to the UK-North Tyneside, who work with refugees and asylum seekers. Since March they have donated over 50 fully serviced bikes and contributed to their fundraising efforts.
Bill attended the presentation at the Council Chambers on 15 December, (unfortunately Dave was unable to attend) along with Lucy Fenwick from our Community Programme team.
Our tenant Sarah’s Star also collected an award for ‘Supporting Families in our Communities’ due to their work with people living with incurable illnesses, as well as their families and health professionals.
Huge congratulations to all three winners and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.
