Pop-Up Linskill Portrait Exhibition & Heritage Day

Pop-Up Linskill Portrait Exhibition & Heritage Day
Saturday 11th October | 10:00 – 16:00 | Free Entry
You’re warmly invited to a special celebration of art, heritage, and community at the Linskill Centre!
Come and view the latest portrait exhibition from Anita Brain Tyrell’s talented art students – featuring familiar faces from around the Centre, including participants, volunteers, and staff. It’s a wonderful tribute to the people who help make our community hub such a vibrant place.
Throughout the day, the artists and Anita will be offering live sketching workshops, so whether you’re an experienced artist or just curious to give it a try, everyone is welcome to join in -especially those who sat for the portraits as this will help bring the exhibition to life.
As part of the event’s heritage focus, we’re delighted to welcome Kieran-Ann for a series of engaging “postcard” talks, exploring the lives of four influential figures North Shields. The Remembering the Past team will also be there, collecting your personal memories of North Shields to add to the town’s living history.
Light refreshments will be available – take your time to browse, listen, sketch, and share your memories.
This event is free to attend, thanks to funding from The Heritage Lottery Fund.
Talk Schedule:
· 10:30 – John Dobson
· 11:45 – Richard Irvin
· 13:00 – James Hall
· 14:15 – Mary Ann Macham (Each talk lasts approximately 15 minutes)
A creative, welcoming day for all ages – we hope to see you there!
