A New Chapter for the Annexe at Linskill

We’re delighted to share the transformation of the Annexe building at Linskill — a separate building located at the rear of the Linskill Centre — which has now been fully renovated and is ready to welcome new activity.

As a community charity, creating welcoming, accessible spaces for organisations to work from helps support our wider charitable work across North Tyneside. Income from tenant spaces helps us continue delivering community programmes, activities and support for local people.

We’re pleased to welcome two new organisations who have recently moved into the Annexe:

• Cheryl Tanner – Menopause Coach

• Home Instead

The refurbishment has transformed the Annexe into a light, bright and accessible space, with a number of improvements including:

• Installation of 14 solar panels to support our sustainability work.

• A new accessibility ramp to improve access for all.

• New toilet facilities.

The Annexe is also home to our Men’s Shed, which moved into the building last year and continues to grow as a welcoming space for local men to connect, create and support one another.

This project has been made possible thanks to the generous support of several funders, and we would like to thank:

• The North East Combined Authority Flexible Social Finance Fund, delivered by Big Issue Invest

• RW Mann Trust

• The National Lottery Community Fund

• Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland

Their support has helped us continue improving our buildings so they can better serve the community.
